Tell us about one of the earliest memories of your career

I was 19 when I have studied in university of arts. I hadn’t any finance support and I have been forced to combine working and study. I have dreamed to get my first order for creating of music, but it’s was kind of impossible, as I have been on my first grade. One day I got very happy chance. Ministry of military affairs was looking for my teacher to invite him for casting of composers on their anthem and found me by his recommendation.

I have passed this casting and my anthem was broadcast on TV channel with the participation of the president of Kazakhstan. It was a very great success, I am still collaborating with them.

How do you prepare yourself before you start a new project?

Finding inspiration for creating music is not easy. Tchaikovsky well enough said: “Inspiration is a guest who does not like to visit lazy” and this is true. Sometime it get a lot of time for searching best ideas, and sometime need only a second for create something really great. You need constant work on yourself, so I try not to stop there. To prepare for a new project, I do not stop analyzing the music of successful composers, learn something new from them.

If you had to define yourself to the world, what would the headline be?

Masterful composer transforms emotions into timeless musical creation

If you could write your own story, what would your destiny be? What goals would you like to achieve?

As any of composers I would like to be heard. I wish to collaborate with big companies in cinematography, like did it Hanz Zimmer or Danny Elfman. It is my dream to become a great professional composer in cinematography, that my music was recognized.

What does success mean to you?

Success for me is constantly find the best version of myself and never stop the growing of my career.

How has the perspective of your dreams and objectives changed over the years?

Well, I went to a more international level. I was working in Turkey, Jordan and here in UAE. I am always participating on different castings and competitions.

What has been the most important learning during your career?

A leading role has played piano classes. I have started to play when I was 7, and I am still performing a lot. Piano has inspired me to create music.

Any upcoming projects you can tell us about?

Soon I am going to release my new music. It has Middle East spirit, UAE has inspired me.

ABOUT

Alissa Dvorkina is a pianist and a composer based in UAE. The artist has performed on Expo2020, and a lot of other events around UAE. Alissa has been awarded in several international competitions and also has written the anthem for ministry of military affairs in Kazakhstan, even collaborated with some cinematography as a composer.

Since 2017 she successfully develops of music education of UAE, regularly has organizing concerts of classical music.
