Gigi McFarlane

INTERVIEW

Tell us about one of the earliest memories of your career

During my first shows I was too shy to say “thank you” after the applause of each song thinking I wasn’t deserving it yet, since I haven’t had all that experience on stage and I could still make the crowd enjoy so much more😄, I was like “don’t clap as yet, let me see how this business works and once I kill it I’ll feel Ok to say Thank You after your applause”

How do you prepare yourself before you start a new project?

I don’t, it just comes and I go. I don’t think too much about anything.

If you had to define yourself to the world, what would the headline be?

You need to go for your goals before it’s too late. The worst feeling isn’t regretting what you have done but what you haven’t.

I need to feel the crowd is having fun, if not I’m not done. It’s a must; It’s my must, my mission, my pleasure.

If you could write your own story, what would your destiny be? What goals would you like to achieve?

I don’t think about the future, I’m in blank whenever people ask me about my goals, I think I am very blessed how I am and I would be greedy if I asked for more.

So maybe, keep being able to give joy with my performances, keep making people happy!

What does success mean to you?

To know how to be happy with what you have, some people have everything and still are empty. To be intelligent enough to never be bored, find the way to be entertained just with your thoughts

How has the perspective of your dreams and objectives changed over the years?

The only thing that has changed is that each year I’m more aware about us not being here forever, as kids we think life is eternal! So I need to really do what I want to do, not what people want me to do, before it’s too late.

What has been the most important learning during your career?

Comparing myself to people that don’t enjoy their job. I am forever thankful

Any upcoming projects you can tell us about?

Massimiliano Vana ( instagram @massivana ), film director, got interested in the story of my life and how music and painting enriched it. So we decided to work on a documentary film using the language of music videos. It will take it’s time but for sure, once it’s done I will contact Artenzza to give all the details, I’m excited!!
