INTERVIEW

Tell us about one of the earliest memories of your career

When I was four years old, I saw a cartoon about a saxophone and a violin based on Romeo and Juliet, and I really liked the saxophone and the music from «his» country. But my mom told me the violin was a girl and I started asking her for violin lessons. I was too young for this, and I entered a block flute class. I’ve been studying different musical instruments, and I really liked it, and then, when I got 14 I started my saxophone lessons.

How do you prepare yourself before you start a new project?

I started studying music when I was very little, I also have perfect pitch. Then I had many years of study at school, college and academy, where I studied and practiced both classical and jazz music and modern directions too. I always keep new projects in my mind, and I just need to do it.

If you had to define yourself to the world, what would the headline be?

everything is in your hands

If you could write your own story, what would your destiny be? What goals would you like to achieve?

I’m writing my own story now. This is my real life, and I trying to be better every day. I am setting new goals and achieving them. But if to talk about writing a book, than this would be a story about a person who is constantly evolving and learning new skills, making her life more diverse. I think it would be one of the options to share knowledge with other people, because one of my goals is to inspire people to explore the world.

What does success mean to you?

I think it’s an opportunity to share what you have with those who are open to it. And that could be applied to anything. For me as a musician and a teacher it is primarily my music and knowledge. And certainly to have fans of your skills is a blessing.

How has the perspective of your dreams and objectives changed over the years?

I never doubted that I would become a musician and play for people all over the world. And it happened. I am successful in Dubai where I live now, the dream came true. I also dreamed about my music school when I was only 6 years old. And I think this dream is about to come true as well. So my goals and dreams haven’t changed, but instead they’ve reinforced the belief that I’m on the right place and that’s the reason I am here.

What has been the most important learning during your career?

There wasn’t anything special; it’s just that I had a lot of inspiring people in my life, and support of my family.

Any upcoming projects you can tell us about?

I love to improvise and do it in different style. . But it has always been other musician’s compositions. Also I am learning new Arabic and Indian song for my future events. Now I am preparing a program consisting of my own tracks where I can express my thoughts in the international language of music which I speak and think in.
